Section 5(2) of Mental Health Act - Form H1

This form must be completed if you need to detain a patient, against their will, for up to 72 hours, to allow an assessment under the Mental Health Act with a view to an application under section 2 (compulsory psychiatric assessment) or 3 (compulsory psychiatric treatment).
