'Eye of the needle' is a report on UK healthcare workers' occupational exposures to bloodborne viruses such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV. (Last updated Dec 2014)

Key data: Between 2004-2013, 4830 significant occupational exposures to a bloodborne virus were reported among healthcare workers in the UK. No HBV seroconversions have been reported. There have been 9 reported HCV seroconversions. No HIV seroconversions have been reported.
